Trump looks like wining - the trump trade is well and truely playing out:
- US dollar index up 1.8% - Bitcoin up 10% to 75k - US 10 year bond rates 4.44% up 0.15% - now up 0.8% since the September Fed rate cut - US 30 year bond rate 4.62% up 0.17% - US futures up about 1.5% for Dow, Nasdaq and S&P 500 while Russell up about 3.5%
BUT POG down 1% in US $ but up 0.4% in $A - I thought the Trump trade was a higher gold price?
If Trump does what he has stated, and he now has control of the Senate and Congress - ie he can do what he wants - there will be much more inflation, bigger deficits, much more debt, sharemarket higher, and if he puts pressure on the Fed to reduce rates we will see a lot more inflation.
What will happen to gold?
