SPR got savaged on the last big gold price drop, I wonder if it will again today.
My thoughts are that when anything goes well for Trump - he got off a few more charges last night see https://www.abc.net.au/news/2024-11-26/donald-trump-election-interference-court-case-dropped/104646110 the $US rises and gold gets dumped. Interestingly though.... one of his loves... crypto which is another $hedge also got heavily dumped last night. As calmbeforestorm pointed out, economic forecasting is mostly way off.... usually just persistence and ensemble averaging which is fairly useless in reality. I would bet though we may struggle with gold early in his term and then profit once he starts stuffing everything up, which is what happened in his previous term in office. Trumpys amongst you can shoot this theory down.. I don't care.
