there are lots of good gold stocks - I don’t recommend any unless I understand the risk profile of an investor .

i saw an article tent where they noted gold stocks at current prices are on a forward PE if 6 - that makes gold producers incredibly cheap while developers are generally even cheaper (excluding v SPR). I prefer to invest mid tier producers like GOR, WGX, RMS, CMM, EMR, VAU, and a few others while developers with good projects include AAR, AUC, BTR, MAU. SMI and some others. I tend to steer away from stocks with smallish resources or no resources and do not invest in majors like NEM, NST and EVN. I also tend to stay away from those with African projects even though they are even cheaper while some operate in better African countries.

There are lots of good stocks with good Australian projects and a few with projects in the American countries. In my view the developers have the best risk/reward profile ATM.

it all comes down to your risk profile and there are always exceptions to the guidelines I use. SPR is starting to look pricey compared with other developers but SPR has by far the best undeveloped gold project in Australia but you are paying for it.
