And yes to the concept of ‘the machine’ hoovering up all the gold jewellery from wherever a drone happens to drop it

… and no matter what currency folk are ‘gifted with’ in return, the gold is gone.
It strikes me this is not just a logical and convenient way of taking AI into the world but that all those (mostly) Asians you see checking out the pieces with their loops and digital scales are going to have to find another interest.
-We’re in such an interesting time of cultural evolution right now - not just in terms of wealth.
