These tariffs long term are not going to be good for the reputation of using the US petro dollar for irrevocable letters of credit , by not just the BRICs countries but also European countries now , so wonder if a different reserve currency may start to be used by default ?
If that happened that would just exacerbate costs in the USA on imports as the US $ would lose its buying power as a reserve currency .
