I think that you are right to question how much the deployment of $300 billion would achieve. It may well be water through the hole in the bucket while asset deflation continues to undermine bank capital ratios.

My suggestion that such a gold liquidation will cause prices to fall assumes that the spot gold market will have trouble finding a home for that volume of new inventory. My assumption could be wrong.


Afterthought: I think that you maybe more of an Anarchist (not necessarily the bomb throwing sort) than a Libertarian. (Or are they the same thing?)
