The war in Ukraine itself is largely irrelevant to the financial markets, IMO.
It is the sanctions on the Ruskies that is adversely affecting the markets - witness the spike in price of commodities. The Ruskies are a major exporter of some of the most important commodities. The spike in prices will lead to higher inflation and lower global growth.
