Topped up today, encouraged by the share price dip. It's important to remember that the price of Silver, and Gold is determined to a large extent by the paper derivatives markets, and not by the amounts of physical being bought or sold. Those trading these paper contracts are big players, often the big banks,or the "Bullion banks" themselves. For these guys the equity and the bond markets are the paradigm in which they exist and trade. The concept, or reality, of precious metals being ultimately a store of value and an insurance against catastrophe is not a factor in their equation. A result of this incomplete view of the bigger picture is that they buy,or sell Au or Ag based on how the equity or bond (or oil) markets are performing. This is one reason why markets go down, and PM's follow suit. Unless, or until the real reason for holding Silver or Gold is understood, some will continue to be mystified by the seeming irrationality of the price.
