Yeah from an economic standpoint Europe is reliant on Russia for survival.
There must be major behind the scenes discussions between the Russian and European leadership without the Anglos because when you are politically demonizing the country that you rely on for survival then if you want to survive major concessions have to be made and so the US Neocons will have to settle for mostly political outrage with not much else.
The US leadership is a different story and so the potential for a backlash is there if the US try and push the Europeans too far.
The European leadership has so far been pathetic.
We'll have to see, wait and watch as the game unfolds.
