gold as a safe haven asset, page-2

I used to think so. I treated gold as the canary in the mineshaft. But there seems to be a different dynamic about the rise this time.

I'm not a goldbug so I'd like to think I have a more dispassionate view than the full-on goldies.

The analogy I'd make is a few guys trying to push a boulder up a hill. They get a little way but then get knackered and the boulder rolls back. But there's a few people watching and 1 or 2 say if they try that again I'll lend a hand. So the next time a few more people push and they get the boulder higher before it falls back. Eventually a crows gathers to watch and each time a few more people help with the pushing until there are so many that they run the boulder effortlessly to the top of the hill.

With gold I think we're at the crowd starting to gather stage. Gold is beginning to attract wide attention.

    Just my (caffeine deficient) thoughts.
