yes as we have seen today not all gold stocks are long term viable even with an unhedged book!! (i.e VRE)

The ramping up of drill rigs is indeed a positive sign IMO, as it appears management and perhaps o'seas investor pressure?? want to get the show on the road while gold price is at record highs.

Given this will be an underground type of mine, very high grades of Au would be required to ensure long term viability of a mine.

As soon as SML can confirm the extent of the mineralisation structures at each end at Glen Wills and Sunnyside (and in between them hopefully!!) management should give us an indication of their aim for a revised JORC resource.

I note that the recent capital raising of SML, we have virtually seen no selling of the free attaching options SMLOC. This indeed shows long term confidence of the stock, given they could have made a tidy profit when the free options were selling at 2.7c at one stage. The directors took up a large proportion of this capital raising too which is extremely encouraging.
