The bowling side brings on an attacking spinner, who bowls with great skill and guile, and keeps the batsmen scoreless for an over. The idiot starts grinning and nodding to himself.
The next over is bowled by a medium pacer, who also manages a succession of dot balls. Halfway through the over, the idiot is seen to noticeably increase his grinning and nodding and has begun talking to himself. The bowler closes out the over with 3 more dot balls. Two successive overs have been bowled.
The two batsmen have a long chat between overs.
The idiot stands up and announces in a loud voice to the rest of the crowd:
"The evidence is clear!! There will be no further sixes or fours hit for the rest of this innings!!"
