I like the way you think but here's another angle on it.

If people are stupid enough to continually vote fiscally irresponsible local, state and federal governments into power for so long then why shouldn't they take some responsibility and shoulder some pain for doing so.

There's no argument with me that the greedy, filthy rich, ethically immoral banksters should foot most of the pain.
