where's the numbers experts...you could probably examine all past predictions (x1) and actual times (x3) and get the average of all the errors to find out what 1 week really means...back of envelope calculations tells me 1 week means 7.3 actual weeks.
there's a principle at work here but i dont know if it's been named yet, sort of like "murphy's law"...if you expect something to be wrong after a time you expect it to be more wrong next time...if it was wrong by the same amount every time then it wouldn't be worth calling it a "law".
(i used to have an arrangement with a prospecting mate where i'd name a time to meet up...it started out that if you say a time you would expect him to be 15 minuets late, so i would be 10 minutes late, after a while he would know i'm going to be late so would be 30 minutes late...it's got so bad now when i say "i'll see you tomorrow", we both know it wont be in our life times).
