    I should imagine you would need to staff the whole operation. Getting the girt out of the ground , transferring it to plant, feeding the numerous stages of the Gekko process. Then there’s accommodation site and feeding staff. $17k doesn’t go far .
    Also you would need maintenance staff for plant. I’ve watched many gold mining shows on the telly and down time is a real problem with wash plants.
