If the US treasury let's gold off the leash it screws up their entire economy and also plays into the hands of emerging superpowers like India and China with massive gold stocks, obviously hitting the US econony hard and reducing global reliance on the usd. Russia are also in a great position to capitalise if this takes place too! The US are doing all they can to limit gold's move up right now. It will be too hard to cap very soon, even with large funds and resources at their disposal.It is all about to change. Yield curves are inverting as we speak, bitcoin is tanking 10% plus. It is all starting to crash and burn and happen at a faster pace now, after months of instability and uncertainty. As other sectors begin to tank hard, this liquidity and massive volume will be transitioning to traditional safety havens.
