gold breaks out

Gold surged in the last half hour in NY, surging through Jim Sinclair's key 1764 pivot after three previous attempts recently, hitting 1779 and now about 1777. As often occurs with gold it is a case of three taps and out (and up, up and away!) with the first being the false breakout in November) Platinum closed the gap even more, now just $50 behind gold. Silver kept well above 34 resistance. PMs suddenly look great after months in the wilderness, and best of all for our PM stocks today, gold's surge came as the USD went up! It doesn't get any better than that IMO...
