Maybe so, but the problem is that the AUD$ might be trading at about US$1.40 by then...which will simply maintain the relatively flat line for the AUD$ gold price, doing little for local producers.

I find it interesting that given the additional gold supply now finding it's way onto the market from the many newly opened (or re-opened) mines, that the price is still holding at current levels.

Much of this new production will be exhausted relatively quickly, leaving open the way for the continuation of the long term trend in the not too distant future.
