Strikes timed almost exactly the same time markets are closed. Coincidence no doubt however one that will likely see this fizzle out and the gold price smashed again on Sunday.
Only way this goes much higher in the immediate future is if the Russians respond.
Otherwise it will just simmer away in the background helping to prop up the price of gold around the 1330 level.
