Another indication to me over the weekend that the world financial system isn't on the brink of collapse and gold launching to the moon.

There were 4.5 pages of jobs in the local rag on the weekend, including one for a driver/scaffolder which has been in for 2 weeks in a row. You'd think in a major city that someone would want that job.
Another job offered was 'factory assistant', (no experience required).

Seems like it's too demeaning for the local dole bludgers so they have to advertise it in the paper.

You'll probably have already seen my post about the farmers having to import labor from offshore because the locals can't be bothered, the dole's easier.
