Considering everyone in the alkane chat is bullish on gold and we have some fantastic contributors, I thought I’d start a general gold chat while we wait for the next announcement. It would be interesting to hear what other gold stocks folks are holding or just general chat around ASX listed Goldie’s. And those that don’t care can easily ignore this thread.
For me, I don’t see Alkane as a take over target but the gold sector is starting to heat up. After years of minimal corporate activity in the M&A space we’ve now seen the two best non producers (IMO) being Spartan and De Grey being taken out. I’ll be interested to see: 1. If anyone has the appetite to go after Misima in PNG 2. Where Gold Road deploys all its capital? 3. if Westgold shits the bed again and provides another wonderful entry point before they likely hit their straps in the next quarter.
CMM is my only other gold holding but there isn’t too much to say about them, they just execute perfectly again and again and again.
