No argument from me on those points Revelscat.

Pretty sure most local Gold Coasters understand the glitter strip is there only for the purpose of taking money from tourists, get them drunk, give them a dose of sun stroke and then back on the plane they go. Rinse and repeat.

Rarely do i go to Surfers but there are some lovely spots on the Gold Coast, just keep well clear of Surfers.

Think the next 12-24 months is going to see things unwind further. Like you said things are grim, property is dropping like a lead balloon and mortgage stress is high. I expect further job loses to come as planned spending on infrastructure has been reduced for next financial year.

Maybe we will get lucky and win our bid for the 2018 Commonwealth Games?

Feel sorry for those who do not have a secure income and job or big mortgages because i think its going to get much much worse yet.

In the mean time, i'll be soaking up the sun, enjoying the beaches and kicking back with a few cold bevies and regular quality coffee breaks and watching the shanannigans unfold.
