Lived on the Gold Coast for 20 years... for the last 10 it's been going down hill fast. Moved somewhere much nicer 2 years ago.
I believe that they actually have a police helicopter now on a temporary basis... some business owners got together and coughed up some donations to fund it... crime is getting that bad. About a month before I moved there were 3 violent murders within 5 kms of where I lived (Robina).
And of course... schoolies is always over the top and getting worse every year.
