It's a bit of a slight of hand Pulp, as they're paying daily interest on reserve repo, granted the numbers are smaller then QE but they're still handing out the cash daily. MBS are different to treasuries in that they're left to mature and not replaced so their impact on the balance sheet is much more gradual. The treasury numbers will be interesting.
