We're about half way through doing an in-depth analysis of all of Marc Fabers predictions at backrecord.com. His track record, so far, seems to be extremely good. Gold is also one of the topics we have a relatively large number of predictions for in our dataset. Over the long term, people who tend to get their predictions correct seem to think gold is going higher. In the short term, we see prediction outcomes are generally more random than long term (this applies to Marc Faber as well), and statistically can draw no conclusions about where gold is headed. Note that topic forecasting is not live yet, but we can see this long term forecast for gold in our preliminary analysis.
