The public needs to be encouraged to buy Government paper and keep investing in TIPS and getting a few per cent inflation cover. TIPS are being heavily being promoted by investment advisers to the public as an inflation hedge and they are selling like hotcakes. What do you think they'll do if they realise that TIPS are not really properly adjusted for inflation and do not really protect their savings? They might stop buying them and get gold. So troops, defend $420. Keep selling that paper gold. We cannot have the masses believing that strong inflation is REAL.
