What's the huge excitement about gold all about? It's doing absolutely nothing in AUD. That means Australian miners won't make any more money. Nor will Canadian miners with the strong Canadian dollar. When the AUD was around 50 cents Australian gold miners were doing compared to the gold price now, but then noone was interested in gold miners. Something seems very crazy here that miners of a product rise in value when the underlying price of the product they mine is going nowhere in their currency, even down.
