The Nagambie site produced about 180,000 oz of Gold in the 1990s. At $A1,600/oz that is about $288m worth of Gold in todays value. Thats not speculation, that is history.

It was Disseminated Gold, colloquially sometimes called "Gold Dust", which is not visible to the naked eye. NAGs only needs 1g/t or 1/8 of a teaspoon of Gold per tonne to be very profitable but will probably get at least 1.2g/t or more (profit of about $A1k/oz)

Gold gets people excited. I was at a Fund Manager presentation on gold, done by First State back in 1999 and the speaker past a small chunk of Gold around the room for us to look at. Nobodies eyes left the gold as it got past around, slowly. It mesmerised people, I was amazed, its glamour attracts. So thats what gold dust can do when agglomearated into chuncks.

Not all dust has this affect.

I grew up on a farm & I can tell you hay or chaff dust has just the opposite affect. It gets into your eyes, your nose, your ears, the pours of your skin - not at all pleasant. Affects the sinuses, creates watery eyes & can make people irrateable & want to drink beer. It's not all bad - the beer part I didn't mind.

So I'm glad NAGs is into Gold Dust.
