I think the bear market was more than that. I was told that there were so many paper contracts dumped on the market to suppress the price, it signified a 6 Sigma event. That isn't a proper market, that is a Hindenburg catastrophe thrown at the market. My worry is they will try it again if the price gets too exuberant.
