The shorters might be banking of holders going for profit taking before $5 believing that $5 may be a psychological resistance level. Thus a bit of shorting may encourage some to 'bank' their profits. Just a thought.
Depends who is in the market wanting to buy in volume at this price.
I think once it breaks the $5 mark it will still pull back again briefly before surging again. IMO
