History has a load of stories entailing people who seemed gullible and perhaps unaware of tricks used to make the mines look promising, such as salting the mines. This was accomplished by using a shotgun to shoot gold dust onto mine walls. This sounds oh so similar like the Ophir oil saga.
OXX has sunk how many millions into oil wells without any dividends? $63 million (?) rings a bell. Could you say we are overdue?
OXX used to engage expert consultant after expert consultant, but where were they with Ophir? I think the JV put blind faith in Petronas. Why wasn't there some form of insurance if there was risk?
Let's hope with the regional gold exploration it's a case of once bitten twice shy. There are big bucks to be made. IMHO DYOR
