Having lived in Vietnam, gold is big business there, very big, and their gold price has always been higher than market (thatI can remember). Hence, its a better way for travellers to exchange money, gold shops will always give you more than banks. But inflation is high, some 26% back in 08/09. I was getting 10.9% interest in a normal everyday saver account, but borrowing was almost 19%. But gold, no matter how small the amount is what everyone wanted, and whewnever, if ever your average poor bloke could afford a bit, no matter how small, they would buy it.
Back to FML, I have every bit of trust in management and prepared to sit on my investment (not punt) for 2012 and watch with interest the
