Well its not usually a good idea to be gratuitously impolite. @oligarch does appear to know what he is talking about and I find his posts informative and helpful - that doesn't mean that I have to agree with every word but they do make me think. The Market has just marked MEI back to 6.5c again so not a lot of support there for it being a "bargain" today (though a good result for longer term holders nonetheless). To put the $511m into clearer focus: (1) it may more or less next week; (2) that is assuming all production was unhedged; (3) that is before taking actual cost of production [AISC] into account; (4) that is before paying interest on money that may be borrowed to build a mine; (5) that is before having a mine to deliver the actual gold. Apart from those caveats I would agree (referring to your last post at 15:00) that you most definately have your finger on something or other.
