That's all very well Ctindale but look around you - prices are going up absolutely everywhere. Can you please tell me what classes of consumer goods are deflating? Even house prices here in Aus seem to be on the rise again. I realise this can all change but please explain why you do not agree that there are signs of inflation all around us?
P.S. I thoroughly recommend viewing IOUSA. I saw it on Foxtel the other night. It was produced with the participation of the US Comptroller General at the time. It was made in 2008 just before the GFC hit. The US national debt was something like $8 trillion then and now it is $11.6 trillion. I realise this does not necessarily mean inflation but it dioes mean the US is in an unsustainable state and something has to give.
