gold hit us$1650 ...

Did anyone notice gold jump and hit US$1650? And silver jump as well ... while Dow futures are 100 points down.

There was massive short covering of both gold and silver positions last week. Wonder if the shorters knew something?

Could we be back to the scenario we had not long ago where gold soared while stock markets heavily fell?

It is still early for overseas trading, so will be interested to see what happens tonight. But volatility sure is the name of the game imo.

Also exciting times ahead for gold and gold equity investors imo.
