Hey Stu. No, gold did not fall 13%, but many gold companies get hit from the multiplication affect of POG. Some posters are good with the maths on it- not me, though. :/ I think gold fell 2.08% Friday, and then maybe another 1%/$15 today, so >3% smashing, and SLR got hit.
I am not saying SLR doesn't have specific issues- I guess it does as it has been smashed harder than others, but we have had 7 days in a row of gold falling. SLR is probably not a bad company- I am no expert on it. It wouldn't be the first company to have a cost blow out during commissioning- which is when a lot of the dramatic drop seemed to begin. If it is high cost in general, it is not the only one. $270m market cap now. Fair value, or undervalued? The market is deciding. directors just bought loads of shares at around 95c (like $200k worth), so they have some faith in their company.
