MW and the boys have got their wits about them. They realise that the world is now coming to West Africa for all resources. National Asian companies are fighting one another to be awarded contracts to build 21st century infrastructure for the region too. Rather than sit on their laurels, content with the tenemants we already hold, MW and the boys are seizing the moment and using their advantage of being established there to acquire more prospective territory. Before it's all gobbled up by multinational majors.

If worst comes to worst, you could always resell them later for a good profit like AUT and SSN did in the US shale oil plays.
