I also can't understand the reason for the increase in the USD. The comments that in times like these, there is a flight from high yeilding currency to low yielding ones is just crazy talk. The only explanation that makes sense to me is the yanks are selling forign investments to prop up there finalical situation and in doing so they repatriate the cash from forign currencies to USD. This creates a demand for USD and the oposite for the forign currencies?
