I can imagine articles like the FT being written by holders of huge amounts of $US. It is interesting that it is written in the UK when they paid huge amounts of gold, signed over world patents and mortgaged Bermuda to the US during WW2. They more than anyone should know that you have to hold your assets in many securities to feel secure.
