I did read where Goldman Sachs was short gold but with Bear stearns being long gold contracts & the t/o or whatever sort of arrangement they made with the govt which would have sort of balanced the gold play & it appears that now Goldman Sachs are long 28 contracts, at least on the 1st oct.
GS no doubt can see the writing on the wall for the US$ like many others of non mainstream writings.
