    A I have posted before, unless the world financial system completely collapses then gold as a currency is history and it only holds value as one of the precious metals useful as a store of wealth.

    Therefore in troubled times it will have a bit of a rally as has been happening, but don't expect too much. I think US$350 to 400 is possible over the next couple of years but assuming relative peace and stability return to the world after that it will sink again.

    Probably around US$250 will provide a bottom though as below that it is not worth mining the stuff.
