I response to GRD :
GRD has Macraes operating well. No dramas there. Reefton (another NZ gold show) is looking to come on line soon and looks to be pretty good. Only issue with GRD may be their gold hedging exposure, although I am not fully aware of their hedging/currency derivitives etc. The mines themselves are quite good.
Other GRD buisnesses are Minproc, Kirfield (Engineering/Construction) and GRL (waste management). Probably not much in the engineering buisnesses profit wise, but the waste area is probably the aera of best potential growth. With Richard Court and John Hewson on board, Government waste jobs have got to be looking good.
On other golds, I am still surprised about the poor showing of TBR. Tribune has arguably the best bit of ground in Australia in the East Kundana Project. I suspect Aurion have been quiet about this, as it would only fuel Placers appetite......I now their management is a bit sus at times, but even Joe Idiot could make a buck out of the EKJV resource.
DIO has some nice ground nearby also. Talking +5 gram dirt from open pit...money for jam. No processing poblems from this area so most of the 5 grams is recoverable.
BAR has a few nice bits of paddock as well. Apart from the recent poor performance of their U/G mine, things should look good as they are in production and can bring on new production easy with their association with Barminco.
All of TBR, DIO and BAR are looking at or are cuirrently producing gold. Any strength in gold should strengthen these.
I also have LHG and CRS.
