I understand the concept of portfolio theory and the concept of negative correlating betas but I am trying to understand what your point is. Do you see gold moving higher or not. Or this too simplistic and you are trading negatively correlated pairs. My personal position is that I am trying to accumulate on weakness trying to build a position that will hopefully see gains in the future. I am not short term trading so perhaps trying to follow your thinking or this thread is not relevant to my circumstances. Still interested in your short medium and long term view of gold..
