I wonder how much gold stocks are influenced by the lousy returns. For instance, BGL yielded a massive 0.66% and NST about 1%. I can see why you would never invest in gold miners if you were looking for an income. Still, the capital gain is very alluring which is why I personally like BC8 and other gold stocks I hold. I would like to hear other opinions and I'm happy to stand corrected if I've got this wrong. It would explain why the whole gold mining stocks are in such a deep dive. I expected to see great returns with gold at record prices.
