We don't 'need' depth. As others have said increasing depth increases mining cost and risk dramatically. I have worked in some of the deepest mines in Australia. They would never have gotten so deep if there wasn't high grade easily accessible near surface at start of the project. More depth or size or grade won't bring JORC compliance any closer. A JORCed resource is one with a comprehensive and unambiguous data set, then and only then can it be banked as a proved reserve. Yes it is expensive to get to this level of detail and more promising hits will expediate the process. I am excited for Monday. GLTAH.
