Hi guys
I have a bit of a naive question (I'm new to gold stocks, so still learning as much as I can)
...why are the larger miners (e.g. newcrest and lihir) trading at very high PE multiples (59 for newcrest - which is ludicrous) while smaller companies such as TBR are at such low multiples (e.g. around 6)?
Sure, there's an element of 'safety' in the larger miners, but still the discrepency seems huge. Shouldn't PE's be fairly uniform within an industry?
