I think the individual investors, the small guys that were ready to buy up internet stocks during the late 90s, arn't yet confortable with buying shares in gold companies. I get that from talking to a lot of friends who dismiss my suggestion to buy gold shares as ''too speculative''. I think that even people who are probably convinced about a higher gold price, arn't convinced about buying gold shares at this point.

We don't have institutional and individual investor buying yet. Once this starts, gold shares should rocket especially as the industry is so small/consolidated atm & there's not much options out there (Australia is a prime example). Those driving the POG higher at the moment are not also out there buying gold shares - that's the problem.
