I think that the problem is that if the major economies experience inflation different approaches will have to be made and I think that this is where Gold will benefit greatly in the name of inflation.
While most other countries can and will increase their interest rates to simply slow inflation down this will force the U.S to make drastic decisions to maintain their growth or go into recession(Deflation) as they won't be able to afford to increase rates.
Yes I can see a major disaster on the horizon for the U.S economy.
