    "Can you buy things in the supermarket with Iron ore?????"

    No more than you can with gold. You need either cash or credit in supermarkets. The only thing you can buy with any metal is fiat money.

    But if you had invested in iron ore stocks on Friday you would be up 25% on your SRK, 13% on your SDL and $5% on your AGO. A bit better than gold stocks are doing today.
