trent its important to realise that France has no hope of leaving an intact EU. The EU has to suffer complete political fracture for ANY of the member states which use the Eurodollar to leave.
The member "states" (which not so long ago used to be sovereign countries) share a monetary system which is completely under the control of the European Central Bank.
The French Government is one of the Two "architects" of the European Union. If the French people really got serious about leaving, martial law would be declared.
Because the EU is first and foremost, a political union which is still incomplete, it is vulnerable to political division. We are seeing plenty of that now, with lots more to come.
